Hydrogen peroxide vapour has a number of useful applications in the biomedical industry. It is used to provide a high level bio-decontamination in new facilities and the entire area inside the barrier can be treated on a single day. This provides valuable assurance that your facility is free of all pathogenic substances before it becomes occupied.
For Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) and Germ Free units, hydrogen peroxide fogging is also used in transfer rooms so that all materials entering the barrier can be decontaminated to a high level before entry to the clean environment. The image on the right shows a number of HEPA and panel filters being exposed to a hydrogen peroxide fogging process before they are transferred into the SPF area. Also included in the transfer room are the contractors tools that will be required to fit and test these new filters.
Six Log Solutions provide a call-out service where we can decontaminate your materials in your transfer room. Alternatively for smaller items (for example researchers laptops), you can send them to us for decontamination and we will return them in an airtight container to facilitate transfer of these materials inside your barrier.
If we can be of any help, we would be delighted to discuss your application with you. You can contact us through our online webform (by clicking here) or via our contact details at the top of this page.
