We were recently asked to carry out a decontamination project in the operating theatre of a major Irish acute hospital. On arrival we were shown large sections of the walls that had been recently damaged by their previous service provider who use a 30-35% hydrogen peroxide solution.

The CNM described how they were shocked to find the paint peeling off the walls in their clean operating theatre!

She assures me that they will never again use 30% hydrogen peroxide.
