A major Dublin hospital had recently commissioned a new aseptic compounding unit and we were contracted to provide a deep clean of the facility using our ionised hydrogen peroxide decontamination technology.
The facility comprised of four Grade B rooms containing isolators for CIVAS and Monoclonal aseptic compounding. Additionally there were a number of support rooms and Grade C/D staging areas.
We successfully validated the decontamination process using a total of 28 biological indicators that were distributed across the facility. The layout drawing above shows the location of all the biological challenges.
In total we used 5 hydrogen peroxide fogging machines.
Thankfully there was a convenient lift to bring our equipment up to the 7th floor!
